There are some misconception of what comprise a man and what happens to the
Body, the Soul and the Spirit when a man dies. Let us study the bible so
we may come to the right understanding of "what is man".

Thessalonians 5:23, this is written:
Now may the God of peace Himself
sanctify you completely; and
may your whole spirit, soul, and
body be preserved blameless
at the coming of our Lord Jesus
same verse in the New American

make you perfectly holy and may
you entirely, spirit, soul,
and body, be preserved
blameless for the coming of our
Lord Jesus Christ. (New American
Apostle Paul says: The entire
or whole person comprise the spirit,
soul and body. Contrary to common belief the spirit and the soul are not the
same. The soul is different from the spirit.
to the body when a man dies?
In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.''
(Genesis 3:19, NKJV)
When a man dies, his body will decay and will
return to the ground from
which it was taken, as the bible says: "for dust you are, and to dust you shall return".

when a man dies?
Ecclesiastes 12: 7, this is written:
Then the dust will return to the
earth as it was, and the
spirit will return to God who
gave it. (NKJV)
When a man dies, the spirit
will return to God who gave it.
spirit, contrary to common belief, is different from the soul.
What happen to the soul when a man dies?
In Ezekiel 18:4, this
"Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine; the soul who sins shall die.
Contrary to common belief,
the soul is not immortal. As
it is written in the above verse,
"the soul who sins shall die".
Let us not forget that man consist of three components on which his existence as
living individual predicated. The spirit, soul and body are the components
of the microcosm that is living man. But when a man dies, the three components
separate - the body return to the dust from
where it was taken; the spirit return to God
who gave it; and the soul who sins will also
