 06B.  Denying God Through Deeds

There are many people who claim and profess to know God, but unknowingly they are denying Him through their deeds.

06B.1   Are there people who claim to know God, but in truth, they deny Him through their deeds?

In Titus 1:16, Apostle Paul warn Titus about false teachers and false teachings:

They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work. ( NKJV)

True recognition of God is not proven by merely professing to know Him. Apostle Paul says:

06B.2   How can a man be certain that he truly know God?

In I John 2:3, this is written:

"We know that we have come to know Him if we obey His commandments" ( NIV)

A man can say that he who truly knows God is he obeys and keeps His commandments.

06B.3   What does the Bible say to those who say they know God but do not keep His commandments?

according to Apostle John:

"He who says 'I know Him', and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." (I John 2:4, NKJV)

They are called liars and the truth is not in them.

06B.4   What is the punishment of people who are called "liars", people who do not keep God's commandments?

In Revelation 21:8, this is written:

"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.''  (Revelation 21:8, NKJV)

Liars are condemned to die in the lake of fire -- the second death

06B.5   Why did Apostle Paul warned men not to heed fables and human commandments?

In  Titus 1:14, this is written:

"and no longer hold on to the Jewish legends and to human commandments which come from people who have rejected the truth. (TEV)

Because this commandments came from people who have rejected the truth.
