32E.1
Where is the citizenship of those fortunate ones who will be
resurrected and transformed to a
glorious body on the Day of Judgment?
In Philippians 3:20-21, it is revealed
that:
For our citizenship
is in Heaven. from which we eagerly wait for the Savior, the
Lord Jesus Christ.
Who will transform our lowly body that it maybe conformed to His
glorious body, according to the workings by which He is able even to
subdue all things to Himself (NKJV)
Their citizenship is in Heaven.
Being members of Christ's Church who would share in the first
resurrection and all those alive who would be transformed to immortality
at the second coming of Christ.
32E.2
What will be their relationship to God?
In Ephesians 2:19, Apostle Paul explains:
Now, therefore, you are
no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the
saints and members of the household of God,
(NKJV)
They will become "fellow citizens and
members of the household of God".
32E.3
Who are they? How can we identify them, who became fellow citizens
and members of the household of God?
In the succeeding verses, Ephesians
2:20-22, Apostle Paul explains further:
having been built on the
foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the
chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being joined together,
grows into a holy temple in the Lord,in whom you also are being built
together for a habitation of God in the Spirit. (NKJV)
They are the ones built upon Christ,
who is the rock or the chief cornerstone.
And what is
built upon the cornerstone that is Christ?
Matthew 16:18, says:
"And I say to you
that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the
gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." (NKJV)
The Church is built upon the rock,
who is "Christ Jesus Himself being the chief cornerstone". He
called it "My Church"
Therefore the fortunate ones are
members of Christ's Church. They are sure of sharing the first
resurrection, and transformation to immortality and sure of becoming the
"fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God".
32E.4
What dwelling place await those who are fortunate to be part of the
first resurrection and the transformation to immortality?
In II Peter 3:13-14, it is revealed:
Nevertheless we,
according to His promise,
look for a new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be
found by Him in peace. without spot and blameless. (NKJV)
The dwelling place that they await and
aspire for is called " the new heavens and a new earth in which
righteousness dwells.
Revelations 21:1-4 further relates:
And I saw a new heaven
and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were
passed away; and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the
holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great
voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with
men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people,
and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe
away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
(KJV)
The dwelling place which the members
of Christ's Church long for is the Holy City, the new Jerusalem where
God shall be with them and be their God. God shall wipe away all
tears from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall be
mourning or earthly sorrows, nor pain anymore, for the former things
have passed away, all of that has gone forever.
