Knowing the splendor and radiance of the Holy City, it is
understandable why it is the fervent hope of millions to gain a foothold
in heaven. but let us be reminded that there are people who are not
allowed to enter it.
50F.1 Who are those who will not be
allowed to enter the holy city?
In Revelations 21:27 it says:
Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will
anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those
whose names are written in the Lambs book of life. (NIV)
The same verse in the other
versions of the Bible:
But nothing unclean will enter it, nor
anyone who practices abomination or falsehood, but only those who
are written in the Lamb's book of life. (NRSV)
Nothing evil will be allowed to enter-no one
who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty-but only those whose
names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. (New Living Translation)
Nothing impure, unclean or evil will ever be permitted to enter
the Holy City; no one who is deceitful, who practices falsehood
or do immoral things shall be allowed to enter it.
50F.2 What are
some of the various sins or, transgressions done by people who will be
prevented from entering the kingdom of God?
In I Cor. 6: 9-10, this is written:
Do you not know that the wicked will not
inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived? Neither
the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers, nor male
prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor
drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of
God. (NIV)
Everyone must realize that
wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Who are some of their sins?
They live wicked lives. They commit sexual sin. They
worship false gods. They commit adultery. They are perverts. They are
homosexuals. They steal. They are greedy. They are drunkards. They say
terrible things about people. They rob people. People like this won't
enter the kingdom of God.
50F.3 Are
there other deeds that may prevent people entrance to the holy city?
Christ declares plainly in Luke 9:62:
But Jesus said to him, "No one
having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the
kingdom of God." (NKJV)
They are those who look back are not fit
for the Kingdom of God.
50F.4
Who are those who look
back while his hand is on the plow?
In Hebrews 10:38-39,
Apostle Paul explains it further, thus:
But my righteous one will live by faith,
And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.
But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but
of those who believe and are saved. (NIV)
Those who look back or shrink back are
those who return back to their old wicked ways. God
will not be pleased with them, making them unfit for the Kingdom of God
and will be destroyed on Christ second coming.
Those who's faith has made them good
in God's sight must continue to live by faith, trusting Him in
everything. Otherwise, if they draw back or shrink back, God will not be
pleased with them, making them unfit for the Kingdom of God and will be
destroyed on Christ second coming
