Our Lord Jesus Christ said
these words in the following verses :
"It is the Spirit who gives
life; the flesh profits nothing.
The words that I speak to you
are spirit, and they are life.
(John 6:63, NKJV)
The
words of God are spirit and they
give life; the flesh葉he
body用rofits nothing.
"For what will it profit a
man if he gains the whole world, and
loses his own soul? "Or what
will a man give in exchange for his
soul? (Mark 8:36-37, NKJV)
A man's soul is worth more than anything else in this world.
It is more valuable than all material things a man can acquire in this
world. Whereas, a man's body is good only for a few years,
then inevitably it will die and
return to dust.
"but lay up for
yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust destroys
and where thieves do not break in
and steal. "For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also.
(Matthew 6:20, NKJV)
The
Lord urges man to work for the
treasures in heaven葉hat is to
do the good works for the
salvation of one's soul謡here no
one can destroy and steal.
Unlike the treasures here on
earth that is good only while a
man is alive.
