28B.1
Did
God had a plan for man before He created him?
In Jeremiah
29:11, God speaks through the prophet
Jeremiah
For I know the plans I have for you,
says the Lord, plans for welfare and
not for evil, to give you a future and a
hope. (RSV)
The same
verse in the Living Bible:
For I know the plans I have for you,
says the Lord. They are plans for
good and not for evil, to give you a
future and a hope. (LVB)
The Lord
says: I have plans for you, they are plans
for good, to give you a future and a hope.
28B.2
What is God's plan for the
good of man?
Apostle Paul
explains in the following verses:
. . . . . . . . In all his wisdom
and insight God did what he had
purposed, and made known to us the
secret plan he had already decided to
complete by means of Christ. This
plan, which God will complete when
the time is right, is to bring all
creation together, everything in heaven
and on earth, with Christ as head. (Ephesians
1:8-10,TEV)
He has put all things under his feet,
and made him, as he is above all things,
the head of the Church;
(Ephesians 1:22, NJB)
God's plan
is for the good of man because it is about God's
secret plan that had to be completed by means of Christ
as the head of the church. This plan is
to bring all creation together, everything
in heaven and on earth, with Christ as head
of the church.
28B.3
Why is Christ as head of
the church for the good of man according to
God's plan? What is this future and hope that
God gives and for whom are these blessing
intended?
In Ephesians
3:21, this is written:
May he be given glory forever and ever
through endless ages because of his
master plan of salvation for the Church
through Jesus Christ. (LVB)
Christ as
head of the church is for the good of men
because it is God's master plan of salvation
for the Church through Jesus Christ.
