10F.   God's Plan On How Man Can Be Made Holy Or Sanctified

Christ plays a very important role in God's plan for the creation of man.

10F.1   How was Christ featured in God's plan to make man holy or sanctified?

In 1 Peter 1:19-20, Apostle Peter explains:

He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. God chose him for this purpose long before the world began, but now in these final days, he was sent to the earth for all to see. And he did this for you.(1 Peter 1:19-20, NLT)

The same verse in another version of the another version of the bible:

but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. He was destined before the foundation of the world but was made manifest at the end of the times for your sake. (RSV)

Christ was part of God's plan for the creation of man, long before the world began. God chose Christ for this purpose,  so in the final days, God sent Christ to earth for all to see.

10F.2   What was God's plan to make man holy and sanctified, before the world began?

In Ephesians 1:4-5 this is revealed:

In Christ, God chose us before the world began. He wanted us to be holy and spotless before Him in love.
God planned long ago that we become His own sons through Jesus Christ. This would please God; it is what He wanted.

The same verse in other versions of the Bible;

just as he chose us in Christ {Gk [in him]} before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love.
He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will, (NRSV)

Thus he chose us in Christ before the world was made to be holy and faultless before him in love,
marking us out for himself beforehand, to be adopted sons, through Jesus Christ.  Such was his purpose and good pleasure, (NJB)

God planned long ago—even before the world began—to choose man in Christ, He wanted them Holy and spotless before Him in love.  That is, God planned and wanted them to become His own sons, through Jesus Christ according to His purpose and good pleasure of His will.

10F.3   Having been chosen and adopted as His sons through Christ, what is the divine plan for man to become holy or sanctified—freed from sin?

Apostle Paul states in Ephesians 2:10:

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (NKJV)

The same verse in another version of the Bible:

We are what God made. In Christ Jesus we have been created for doing good deeds. God prepared these good deeds long ago, so that we could live by them. (IEB)

God's divine plan was to "create man in Christ Jesus for good works or deeds" that God prepared long ago that man should walk and live by them.

10F.4  If man as God's workmanship are "created in Christ Jesus for good works or good deeds", of what nature are these good works or good deeds?

So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good. (Romans 7:12, RSV)

These good works and good deeds are the laws and commandments of God. Walking and living by these laws and commandments will make man holy in the sight of God.

The Lord God Almighty intended that man should walk and live in good works  or good deeds which God has prepared long ago. Doing this good deeds or good works will make man holy and this is only through the observance of God's laws and commandments.

10F.5   Why is walking and living by God's laws and commandments will make man holy in the sight of God.

King Solomon, known for his wisdom during his time, wrote in Ecclesiastes 12:13,
the sacred intention behind man's conception as set forth in clear terms:

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. (NKJV)

Because this is the whole duty of man.

______________________

God chose Christ for this purpose long before the world began, but now in these final days, he was sent to the earth (1 Peter 1:19-20), so that the sinful man may yet become holy or sanctified (freed from sin). God's plan for making man holy or sanctified, was to choose men and adopt them as His sons through Jesus Christ according His purpose and good pleasure (Ephesians 1:4-5). God's divine plan was to "create man in Christ Jesus for good works or deeds" (Ephesians 2:10). These good works and deeds are the laws and commandments of God (Romans 7:12). Keeping these laws and commandments is the whole duty of man (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Thus, walking and living by these laws and commandments will make man holy or sanctified (freed from sin).  It is only through this plan, that man will regain his right to serve God on the basis of love which is God's purpose in creating Him.
