12B.1
How did God created man?
In Genesis 2:7, it is written:
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of
the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and
man became a living soul. (KJV)
Man's body is formed merely of the dust of the ground. Without the breath of life, man is therefore no different from
the dust we trod upon.
12B.2 What will happen when God
takes back the breath of life He gave to a man?
In Job 34:15, the Bible answers:
If he should take back
his spirit to himself, and gather to himself his breath, all
flesh would perish together, and man would return to dust. All flesh
shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust. (RSV)
The earthly body of man could not escape the turning of dust again
when God takes back the breath of life He gave.
12B.3 When a man stops breathing, what
will happen to his thoughts and his plans?
In Psalms 146:4, this is written
in several versions of the bible:
When their breathing stops, they return to the earth,
and in a moment all their plans come to an end. (New Living Translation)
His breath goeth forth, he
returneth to his earth; In that very day his thoughts perish. (American
Standard)
His breath goeth forth, he
returneth to his earth; in that very day his purposes perish. (Darby's
Bible)
How about their
love, their hatred, and their envy?
In Ecclesiastes 9:6, the Bible explains further:
Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; nevermore will they have a share in anything done under the sun.
(NKJV)
When the breathing stops, his body return to earth or to dust.
In that moment all his plans comes to an end, his thoughts perish
and his purpose perish. Man's love, hatred, envy will
perish at the moment of death.
The human mind is the source of
thought and behavior of a man. The human brain is the source of the
conscious and cognitive mind. When the breathing stops, the body which
include the brain perishes. In that very day the bible says, man's thought
perishes. Man's plans, purposes, love, hatred, envy all come to an end.
________________
Man is truly helpless in the face of death. And when that time
comes, no degree of human intelligence, no amount of material
riches, nor fame or human power could save him from death. Death
is inevitable. His thoughts, his purposes, his planning all comes to
nothing. Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now
perished; nevermore will a man have a share in anything done under the
sun.
