12G.   Why God Is Mindful Of Man

In Psalms  8:3-4,  King David says:

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? (NKJV)

King David ask, "What is man that God is mindful of him?"  in a manner that implies his physical insignificance.  In fact, if viewed against the vastness of the universe which God has set in place,  man is no larger than a grain of sand.

12G.1   Why is God mindful of man?  Why did God singled out man from among other creatures?

In Christ, God chose us before the world began. He wanted us to be holy and spotless before Him in love. (Ephesians 1:4, IEB)

God chose man for Himself before the world began. God singled out man for a certain purpose.

12G.2  What then is the purpose of God in choosing man for Himself?

In Christ, God chose us before the world began. He wanted us to be holy and spotless before Him in love. (Ephesians 1:4, IEB)

God choose man for Himself. He wanted man before him in love, that is to serve Him in love. But for man to serve God in love, man must also be holy and spotless or blameless.

12G.3  What sort of love is demanded from all men?

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. (Romans 12:9, American Standard)

Love must be without hypocrisy. It must be sincere. Real in the sense that it abhors evil and hold fast to which is good.

12G.4  How should a man love God?

In Matthew 22:37-38, our Lord Jesus Christ said:

Jesus said to him, " `You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' "This is the first and great commandment. (NKJV)

To love Him with all his heart, soul and mind.

12G.5   What sort of service is demanded from all men?

In the following verses these are written:

Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. (Psalms 100:2, NKJV)

If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My name,'' says the Lord of hosts, . . . . . . (Malachi 2:2, NKJV)

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.'' (John 4:24, NKJV)

Serve the Lord with gladness. Give glory to His name. Worship God in spirit and in truth.

______________

God is mindful of man because He purposely created man for Himself:

  • God chose man even before the world began.
  • He wanted man to be holy and spotless before Him. (Eph.1:4)
  • He wanted man "before Him in love".
    • To love without hypocrisy.  Romans 12:9
    • To love Him with all his heart, soul and mind. Romans 12:9
  • He wanted man "to serve Him"
    • To serve Him with gladness, Ps. 100:2
    • To give glory to His name, Malachi 2:2,
    • To worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

End Of Lesson    Thank You For Your Time!
We hope the lesson "What Is Man? . . . That God Is Mindful Of Him" was made clear and meaningful to you
by the verses of the Holy Bible.

A man's soul is worth more than anything else in this world. A man's soul is very precious or of great value in the sight of God.  Understanding and taking care of man's soul
will be studied in detail in Lesson - 14
The Two Man In Every Human Being

When a man dies, the three components separate - the body return to the dust from where it was taken; the spirit return to God who gave it; and the soul clings or cleaves to the dust. When a person dies, he will stay in the grave till the heavens are no more. The heavens will pass away or the heavens will be no more on the Day of Judgment. This is the time when the soul of the dead man will be resurrected or brought back to life.
The "Resurrection Of The Dead" will be
studied in detail in Lesson - 40   The Resurrection Of The Dead, And The Eternal Punishment In The Lake Of Fire
