Through one man—Adam, sin came into the world
and death through sin. Sin has earned for man
his separation from God, the loss of his right
and privilege to deify God, and
consequently, his right to an endless life.
But what is real reason
why all men have sinned?
22B.1
How did mankind fall from
the grace of God?
Apostle Paul traced the beginning of man's fall, and pointed out to the
tragic fate of all.
In Romans 5:12, it is written:
Therefore as sin came into the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all men sinned
(Romans 5:12, RSV)
Through one man (Adam) sin came into the
world and death through sin, and so death
spread to all men because all men sinned.
22B.2 How many have sinned?
The Bible says:
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
(Romans 3:23, NKJV)
All have sinned, so all have been separated from God.
22B.3 All have sinned against God,
according to the Bible. Does it mean that all have committed what Adam had
done in the garden of Eden?
No,
because it is contrary to God's law on sinners.
In Deuteronomy 24:16, God's law on
sinners is very clear, thus:
"The fathers shall not be put to death
for their children, nor shall the
children be put to death for their
fathers; a person shall be put to death
for his own sin. (NKJV)
Adam's sin cannot be transmitted to other people as popularly
believed—called original sin—because it is contrary to God's
law. A person is only accountable for his
own sin and not for the sin of other people
like Adam.
Why then, did the bible declare that all
men have sinned?
All have learned to ignore and defy the will of God.
All have learned to ignore and defy the laws
and commandments of God.
Accordingly what has befallen
the whole world?
In Romans 3:19, this is written:
Obviously, the law applies to those to
whom it was given, for its purpose is to
keep people from having excuses and to
bring the entire world into judgment
before God. (NLT)
The whole world
will be brought to judgment before God. No
excuses, all will be held accountable to God.
22B.4 Since
all have gone wrong in the sight of God, to
what has God subjected the whole world?
Apostle Paul tells us:
And as it is appointed for
men to die once, but after this the judgment, (Hebrews 9:27, NKJV)
Since all have gone wrong, all will be held
accountable to God and this will be on the Day of Judgment.
22B.5 What is the condemnation
or judgment reserved for men, all having sinned?
In Revelations 20:14, this is revealed:
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.
This is the second death. (KJV)
The Judgment or sentence reserved for men, all having sinned, is the second
death in the lake of fire.

What
really cause all men to sin? Through one man (Adam) sin
came into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men
because all men sinned — not because
of Adam's sin, but all have learned to ignore and defy the laws
and commandments of God. So, all will be held accountable to God on the Day of
Judgment. As a consequence, all men having sinned are destined to die the second
death in the lake of fire.
