22E.   The Good Way Or The True Religion

God is giving all men a chance to return to Him and be saved.   God wants man to actively search for the Good Way or the True Religion wholeheartedly and walk therein.

22E.1   Who then, is the good way that man must seek that will lead him to God?

In John 14:6, this is written:

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6, NKJV)

Our Lord Jesus Christ declared:   "I am the way, the truth, and the life"

Is Christ the good way and the only way that will lead man to God?

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6, NKJV)

Absolutely,  "No one goes to the Father except through Christ".

22E.2   What is the commandment of Christ, for man to travel the good way to life?

In John 10:9, our Lord Jesus Christ commanded:

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, . . . . . (NKJV)

The same verse in another version of the bible:

I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, . . . . (NJB)

Christ likens Himself to a door or gate, where man can enter in and he will be saved. Christ welcomes any man to enter by Him.

22E.3   How can man enter by Christ?

In Ephesians 1:9-10,  Apostle Paul explains the plan of God:

having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,   that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth in Him,  (NKJV)

Men can enter by Christ by being gathered together in Christ.

22E.4   How can men gathered together in Christ?

Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. (1 Corinthians 12:27, NKJV)

Men, having been gathered together in Christ have become individual members of the "Body of Christ".

22E.5   Which is the "Body of Christ" that man must enter to become a member, so he can worship and serve God?

And He is the head of the body, the church, . . . . . . . . .(Colossians 1:18, NKJV)

The "Body of Christ" is the Church, whose head is Christ Himself.
This is the True Church—the True Religion leading to God, where man can become holy or sanctified—freed from sin, so he can worship and serve God.

__________

The "Good Way" that man must seek is through the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the "only way to God" since no one can go to the Father except through Him.  For man to travel the good way, Christ invites anyone to enter by Him. Entering by Christ is by becoming a member of the "Body of Christ". The "Body of Christ" is the Church, whose head is Christ Himself. This is the True Church—the True Religion leading to God, where men can become holy or sanctified—freed from sin, so he can worship and serve God.

Succeeding Lesson:
The history of the Christian religion started in the first century when the Lord Jesus Christ established His Church in Jerusalem. From this Church established by Christ, Christianity has proliferated all over the world to more than 33,000 denominations. These churches compared to the original church have differing and/or conflicting doctrines and beliefs but all claim to use the Holy Bible as the basis of their faith. What are the two basic reasons why so many religions come to be established in these last days? Are these increase in religions or churches really for the benefit of mankind in general because all religions are the same. Or, will it contribute to the confusion faced by man since there is only one true religion established by Christ?

The above questions and many more will be answered in detail in Lesson - 20
The Proliferation Of The Christian Religion
