In the
regeneration, men becomes a new creature. How
will regeneration be accomplished?34C.1
What
was formed when men were created in Christ Jesus
for good works?
In Ephesians
2:15, this is written:
having abolished in His flesh the
enmity, that is, the law of commandments
contained in ordinances,
so as to create in Himself one new
man from the two, thus making peace,
(Ephesians 2:15, NKJV)
The same verse in the New International
version:
by abolishing in his flesh the law
with its commandments and
regulations.
His purpose was to create in
himself one new man out of the two,
thus making peace, (NIV)
What was formed is the
"One New Man" which Christ created in Himself.
The "One New Man" is the union of the two, Christ and
men. (Topic-28E)
34C.2
Who are these men in the "One New Men"?
How was regeneration
accomplished?
In Romans 3:25, this is written:
God offered him, so that by his
sacrificial death he should become
the means by which people sins
are forgiven through their faith in
him. God did this in order to
demonstrate that he is righteous.
(Romans 3:25, TEV)
These "men" are those who have faith in
Christ.
How was
regeneration accomplished?
They are the beneficiaries of
Christ's sacrificial death on the cross because their sins are forgiven
by God (For
more details seeTopic-28E).
According to God's plan, regeneration
can only be accomplished through the
"One New Man".
In
the eyes of God "Christ and the men—who
have faith in Him" is the One New Man.
34C.3
Which is
the "One New Man" that the Lord Jesus Christ
created in Himself in place of the two (Christ
and men—who have faith in Him), so making peace
with God?
In
Acts 20:28, the answer is written:
"Take heed therefore to yourselves and
to all the flock over which the Holy
Spirit has appointed you overseers,
to feed the Church of Christ which he
has purchased with his Blood."
(Acts 20:28, LBP)
The
"One New Man" is rightfully call the "Church
of Christ" for it is Christ who died and
purchased (paid for) the Church with His own
blood. This is all accordance with
God's master plan of salvation for the
Church through Jesus Christ (Ephesians
3:21, Living Bible)
34C.4
Are those who are "in
Christ Jesus" also the "new Creatures" in
Christ?
In 2
Corinthians 5:17,
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he
is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are
become new. (KJV)
Those who
are "in Christ Jesus" are also the "new creatures
in Christ", because all things have become
new.
