36B   How Will God Judge The World In Righteousness

God's  tolerance and patience with the sinners will come to an end, and that end will be on the Day of Wrath or the Day of Judgment when God will judge the world in righteousness..

36B.1   How will God judge the world in righteousness on Judgment Day?

In Romans 2:6-8, this is recorded:

For he will render to every man according to his works:   to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;  but for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury. (RSV)

The same verse in other version of the bible:

will judge all people according to what they have done.  He will give eternal life to those who persist in doing what is good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and practice evil deeds. (NLT)

God will give each one whatever his deeds deserve. .

  • He will give eternal life to those who persist in doing what is good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.
  • he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and practice evil deeds.

36B.2   What is the basis of Judgment?  Will the Book of Life also serve as a basis of Judgment?

In Revelations 20:12-13, this is written:

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.  The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. (NKJV)

Each one will be judge according to his works and by the things written in the books and this includes the Book of Life.

36B.3   What will happen to those who are not found written in the Book of Life?

Revelation 20:15, gives us the answer:

And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (NKJV)

What is this Lake of Fire?

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Anyone not found written in the book of life will suffer the second death - the full payment of sin.
