The sinful man must suffer the wrath or
anger of God as a punishment for his sins. But
the loving and merciful God has a plan to save
mankind from this wretched situation. 26F.1 Who does the Bible teach as
the only savior appointed by God to effect man's salvation?
In the following verses,
these are written:
"For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
(Lk:2:11, NKJV)
Then God put him in the place of honor at his right hand
as Prince and Savior. He did this to give the people of Israel an
opportunity to turn from their sins and turn to God so their sins
would be forgiven. (Acts:5:31, NLT)
Jesus Christ is the only God appointed savior for mankind.
26F.2
What is the biblical proof that Jesus is the only Savior whom God
appointed for mankind? Is there salvation in any other?
In Acts 4:10 and 12, the Bible gives us the answer:
"let it be known to you
all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus
Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the
dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.
"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name
under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.'' (NKJV)
There is no salvation in any other name under heaven, except in Christ Jesus.
26F.3 Why is Jesus Christ the only
savior? What is unique in Christ?
In Ephesians 1:5 & 7, this is written:
having predestined us
to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to
the good pleasure of His will,
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of
sins, according to the riches of His grace (NKJV)
It is only in Jesus Christ that man have redemption through his
blood and the forgiveness of man's sins, in accordance with the riches
of God's grace.
