Before the messengers of God can preach the message of God — the Gospel,
they were given a clear understanding of the good news that they will
preach to all the people.42E.1 Why is it that those who are
not messengers of God cannot preach the Gospel, aside from the fact that
they do not have the authority to do so?
In II Timothy 3:7, this is written:
Always learning and never able to come to
the knowledge of the truth. (II Timothy 3:7, NKJV)
Those who are not sent by God cannot preach the
true Gospel because
they do not understand the truth.
42E.2 What is the reason why
those
who are not messengers of God will never be able to come to the knowledge
of the truth or understand the Gospel of Christ?
In Romans 16:25, this is written:
Now to God who is able
to strengthen you according to my Gospel and the proclamation
of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that
was kept secret for long ages. ( NRSV)
The same verse in another version
of the bible:
Now to him that is of
power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of
Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which
was kept secret since the world began, (KJV)
The reason: the mystery was not
revealed to them — the mystery that was kept secret
since the world began.
42E.3 If the truth or the Gospel is kept
secret or hidden in mystery, how could the Messengers of God know and
understand the Gospel? How could they preach the Gospel?
In Mark 4:11-12, Jesus told the Apostles:
He told them, "The secret of the
kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those who are on
the outside everything is said in parables so that,
"'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing
but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be
forgiven!" (NIV)
The messengers of God were given the
secret of the kingdom of God, and that is the reason why they can preach
the Gospel,

Those who are not sent by
God cannot preach the true Gospel because
they do not understand the truth. The reason is that, the mystery was not
revealed to them — the mystery that was kept secret
since the world began.
To be able to preach the Gospel, they were given the secret of the
kingdom of God.
